Every once in a while I think
No, it doesn't happen often, but it does happen. My foot is much better today, and while I really want to work out, I'm going to do what I think is the intelligent thing, and not do that until my foot is healed, particularly considering the pain I was in Monday night when I tried to sleep. I'm also a lot less bitchy today, which probably has a lot to do with my foot, but probably also has a lot to do with the fact that it is like 10 degrees cooler, and being a cold weather person, just puts me in a better mood.
Also, I stayed awake through the 2.5 hour meeting today. Yay! Hopefully I can repeat tomorrow. I just need to remember to being gum again.
In other good news, I discovered that the deli across the street form my apartment, while quite shady (I always count my change), has the best prices on sandwiches I've seen just about anywhere, and I'm talking country here, not just NYC. They also have a lot of real good sandwiches, like the type that 3 or 4 different types of meets.
Hopefully my foot will be healed by the end of the week. Things seem to be on the right track.

You should consider getting arch supports for both your working shoes and your regular tennis shoes. Your arch is probably collapsing due to lack of proper support.
Also may be a good idea after a workout (especially if a lot of running is involved) to ice the arches and take some advil. Best thing next to sliced bread for icing the arches? Is filling dixie cups with water and freezing them, and pulling away the dixie cup as you ice your foot. No numb fingers.
Just a suggestion. At least you didin't have to walk in raw sewage. Not a pleasant experience.
The only problem with this is that I really want to wear sandles since it's like 8 million degrees, though buy some arch supports is something I'm considering doing, once my foot is healed and it doesn't hurt to walk to the drugstore.
perhaps sandals that have a little more support like a shoe? i wear tevas, but there were a few other brands i tried on at the outdoor gear store that were way too much arch for my feet, and maybe that would help you more.
Entropic is right
Try a sandal like Tevas that have arch supports in their sandal.
And if you buy some arch supports, go get some at a shoe store and not the drug store. They have a better selection, and although some may be pricey..in the long run its a better investment.
I had to get arch supports due to a misalignment of my knee caps due to a low arch..and its a bitch! Not only do my feet go numb when I run, but my knees kill too. Arch supports are like sex...FEEL SO GOOD.
Well shit, why didn't you just start with that. IF I knew they were like sex I would have bought some years ago!
Yes, but too much of a good thing can be bad.
