Things I learned today

Knowing the bartender kicks ass. I suppose I already knew this, but in this case I knew the bartender before I ever attended the bar (Local) and she hooked me up all night long.

Relying on coworkers to show up is not something I will never do again. Next time I hear about something like this, I will check with the coworkers a day ahead, and get definitive yes or no answers. If the answers are no, or not definitive, I will break down, use the phone, and actually call people I know enjoy going out to bars.

In other news, the US soccer team sucks. I should have bet because I called that shit. At least Germany and the Netherlands are still in it.
